Companies GEA and Siemens demonstrated at a professional conference how AI, automation, and cloud-based processes accelerate beverage development and production. In a live demo, a machine produced different beverages sequentially, iced coffee followed by a functional protein drink, while receiving operating instructions via the cloud. An analytics interface provides real-time insights into machine performance, energy consumption, and maintenance needs. An AI-powered assistant delivers recommendations and forecasts for efficient operation. An additional demonstration at the conference, the companies illustrated how a “digital twin” of the production machine helps generate production forecasts and optimize production line planning, through fast and precise simulations of various beverage production scenarios.
