Danone has acquired the British nutrition brand Huel in a major deal valued at approximately €1 billion. Huel offers RTD meal replacement beverages, alongside ready powders and bars based on plant-based ingredients rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. The acquisition aims to strengthen its functional portfolio and enter the growing “Complete Nutrition” category – products delivering full daily nutritional needs. The brand, founded in 2014, experienced strong growth and reported £214M revenue in 2024 and a net profit of approximately £14 million.
Huel is currently distributed in more than 25,000 points of sale worldwide, and will now be able to significantly expand its global reach thanks to Danone’s distribution network.
