Do Weight-Loss Injections Reduce Alcohol Consumption?
Health & Functionality
A new academic study from the United States, based on a small clinical trial, has found that people using weight-loss injections are not only eating less but also drinking significantly less alcohol. Over a 9-week period, participants reduced their alcohol consumption by an average of 41 percent.
They reported a reduced desire to drink and said that even when they did consume alcohol, it no longer produced the same positive effect.
In response, British bars have begun offering “mini cocktails” tailored for consumers using weight-loss injections, featuring smaller serving sizes with less alcohol, fewer calories, and lower prices.
